How to apply auto window tinting film on your own

Do you want to tint the windows of your vehicle, but you do not have the money necessary to hire a professional? If your answer to this question is yes, then you should read this article to find out how you can tint the windows of your car on your own.

Before you tint your windows, you should first read about tinting regulations that apply in your country. This can be done by simply searching on the internet for details about this subject, or if you go and talk to a professional, who will tell you everything there is to know about window tinting.

After you make sure you will not violate any regulations, you then have to decide what film to use. Nowadays, there are all kinds of auto tinting films, which can be dark, metallic, or even mirrored, and these are available even in areas such as Sunrise, Plantation, Fort Lauderdale, and Broward. After decided which type to use, you then have to properly clean the window you want to apply the film to. Special cleaning compounds can be found in almost any store, and it is advised to use one.

You should cut the film before you actually stick it to the window. When doing this, make sure you leave at least one extra inch on the edge, in case there were any measurement errors. Then trim the already cut film to the exact measurements of the window you will apply it to.

Last but not least, you need to apply the application solution on the inside of the window, and then peel off the film liner. Then generously spray the exposed adhesive with solution to prevent it from sticking when you position it. After all these steps are done, you only need to remove any air that gets trapped between the film and the window of the car.
